Should You Apply for Proprietorship GST Registration?
If you are running a sole proprietor business and annual turnover becomes ₹20 lakh+ (services) or ₹40 lakh+ (goods), then GST registration is mandatory. If you make interstate supplies or want to register on ecommerce (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), then also it is necessary to take GST.
It is optional for small firms whose turnover is below the limit, but if you want to take input tax credit and scale the business, then taking GST will be best.
